(Ranked on Spades (Funcom) Ladder) on June 30, 2023 at 03:43:41:House Oversight Committee Chair James Comer (R-KY) detailed the evidence pointing to an influence peddling scheme involving the Biden family and the Chinese government during an appearance on Newsmax Thursday evening. “It borders on treason, in my opinion,” Comer said.
The estimated haul paid to numerous Biden family members through foreign shell corporations was estimated to value between $20 and $30 million last week. Now, Comer believes the committee will be able to expose upwards of $40 million that was paid to the Biden family in exchange for influence.
Newsmax host Rob Schmitt asked Comer if any of these payments were benefitting the Chinese Communist Party or other adversarial countries. “I think so, I think they all were,” Comer said. “The thing that stands in my mind is, one of the first acts Joe Biden made as president of the United States was he cancelled a thing called the China initiative,” he went on to explain.
Comer detailed how the FBI had been investigating theft of intellectual property from American universities dating back to the Obama Administration. Federal investigators identified numerous Chinese nationals who entered the country legally, registered as students, then proceeded to send intellectual property and other sensitive information back to China.
