Looking at calender may work for you but it can be quite a bit quicker for some people to go by the TD post rather than refreshing and refreshing clicking pairings and then going back to the browser window the game is in.
If your computer and those of your members are always quick enough to complete a trny without it becoming neccessary to bring a picnic basket then good for you but i think the fact that shortkeys/keytext is so widely used suggest that there is a need for those programmes even by members who are not as you say retarded.
