However when i was looking at my Credit card statement i noticed i was billed the price of a gold membership.
So i contacted cases cause i had not purchased any gold memberships this year. Well apparently back in 2007 cases set up gold memberships so that they billed automatically every year unless you told them otherwise.(If you just used the purchase membership link on the page). If you used the gift membership link it would not renew automatically. So i have been billed since 2008 for Robs membership. I didnt catch it in 2009.
Its canceled now and a refund has been issued. Just keep your eyes open, cause if you purchase a gold using the purchase membership page, it doesnt tell you that it will be a recurring charge. It does tell you on your reciept that you get in your email, but i missed that. Thats what a sales rep for cases just told me. Just figured id let ya all know so you dont get a suprise on your credit card statement like i did.
Ive purchased alot of memberships for friends over the years so i didnt pay any attention to the reciept they sent me in my email, lesson learned on my part. However, it should plainly state on the purchase page that it will be a recurring charge!
