Just to clear up any confusion, when you make the purchase, the page definitely does state that it is a recurring charge. This is what is stated on the page where you would enter credit card information:

Membership Type: 1 Year Gold Membership $29.95 and automatically rebilled thereafter

You will be charged 29.95 and automatically rebilled thereafter
