Hi all,

In an effort to make the Premium memberships less confusing and easier to manage, we have made several changes to Platinum and Diamond memberships.

The biggest change is that when moving a Platinum or Diamond from one ladder to another you will no longer receive a free Gold membership on the ladder you removed it from. Platinum is meant to apply to five ladders and Diamond to ten ladders. It was possible for people to exploit the way it was working to receive dozens of free Gold memberships. This created many fraud complaints and took considerable staff time to resolve. Now when you move your membership from one place to another, the ladder you removed it from falls back to free membership status. (Note: When your membership expires or is cancelled, you still receive Gold status on the ladders on the account at that time!)

Since we have fixed this potential hole, we are also changing the restriction that prevents you from moving ladders more than once every 60 days. This has now been lowered to 30 days!

Also, when you join the Platinum and Diamond programs on a monthly basis you will now immediately be able to use two ladders instead of needing to wait until your second month. This will allow you to enjoy all the features those memberships provide without the wait!

We hope these changes make things easier to understand, and know it will free up valuable staff time. We like to spend our time servicing the paying members who support the site rather than chasing down people trying to exploit the . Thanks very much for your continued support.

Thanks,
Case
