We are preparing to finish moving the homepage accounts to the new servers. This may affect any Premium users who are using their users.igl.net homepage account, as well as Plus Leagues using their League Homepage account.

There is a chance that this may cause difficulties with editing these pages, if your ISP's DNS information has not updated yet. The old versions of the pages should still be viewable on the old server, so if your DNS information has not updated, you will still see the old information. However, you may experience problems if you try to edit these pages before your DNS information has fully updated.

Basically, the DNS settings are what tells your computer how to find a Web address like www.myleague.com. When you type an address into your web browser, your Internet Service Provider looks that name up in their records, finds what the IP address for our server is, and connects you to us. This makes things easier for everyone, because its easier to remember myleague.com than 63.215.75.25.

However, the new servers have different IP addresses than the old ones, which means that your Internet Service Provider may still be trying to send you to the wrong place. Periodically, Internet Service Providers will check online and update their records, but until they do, they will continue to send you to the wrong site. It is similar to a move in real life: people who look you up in a phone book will call the wrong number until the new phone book comes out. Thankfully, your Internet Service Provider updates their records far more often than new phonebooks are released. Most ISPs will update their records every 24-72 hours, at which time, your full access to this feature will be restored.

If you are interested in the nitty-gritty details of exactly what is going on, you can check http://www.wikipedia.org/wiki/Domain_Name_ for more information, but be forewarned that there is a lot of technical information in the article.

If you remain unable to connect to your homepage account for a prolonged period of time, please contact your Internet Service Provider and ask them to update their DNS entry for our site.

Thank you for your patience as we complete this move of the user and Plus homepage accounts.
