It seems to me that if someone would want to run "NO BYES" tournaments they are limiting players that can join. If that is the case, it should be hosted as a NON-Stats tournament. If the TD limits the number of the players, then it is not open to all players. It makes things on the ladder unfair.
What I am interested in is what the TD does when the tournament has 12 players entered, and it comes time to start the tournament. Does the TD drop 4 players or wait until he gets 4 more?
Tournaments should start on time. 12 players would give byes. Is this TD limiting the tournament only to 8 players excluding the rest?
I am curious as to how this TD justifies that the Tournament is fair and hosting it this way is fair to the ladder, if it is run as a ladderstats tournament??
